About Imagine Fiber Arts
a quick history
Imagine! Fiber Arts was opened in spring 2024.
Located in Canton, MI we are fiber enthusiasts who love luxury fiber and color. We hand dye both superwash and non-superwash yarn in our small basement dye studio.
We have professional backgrounds through our college degrees in Architecture and Interior
Design where we focused on the concepts of design and color as well as our careers for the past 44 years plus designing and building stunning outdoor living spaces for homes.
But mostly we just love color, texture and the opportunity of making pretty string.
We have been knitting, crocheting, sewing, rug hooking, needlepointing and weaving as serious hobbyists for somewhere close to 55 years.
The Natural World and Built Environment guide our every design inspiration and fiber decision. Selecting and dyeing yarn is as much a tactile experience as an aesthetic one.

We don't chase trends-we build collections that last.
We believe in quiet excellence, thoughtful design and the joy of creating something real in a noisy fast-paced world.
We look to provide exceptional, ethically sourced yarns dyed to inspire creative makers and preserve the timeless traditions of fiber arts as done by many throughout our shared history.
There are no gimmicks here just a love of fiber arts that we look forward to sharing with you.
And stories...we love telling stories through our yarn. Be it a unique color combination, the historical perspective that a time period brings us, emotional connections or just plain fun...we love reducing the experience to appear on our yarn and have it show up through storyboards and collections.
